Resources for Translation

    Our school does have a couple reliable resources to provide translations for our families, but sometimes we still can't find translations in the languages we need or the documents we need.  If you have any reliable resources that you use, we would appreciate if you would please tell us about them.  We would also appreciate if you would tell us about anyone you know who would be able and willing to interpret for us.  The local intermediate unit has a list of people who are willing to do this work for the area schools and they do offer payment for this service.  I can provide you with the information for the IU if you know of someone who might be interested.

Community Resources & Events

    On the ESL section of our school's website, I have a page where I can list "Community Resources & Events".  So far, I have added information and links for our two local public libraries.  I would appreciate if you would share your suggestions for more resources and events I can add to this list.  If you found a community resource helpful or an event worthwhile, other families probably will too.

Family Involvement

    Hello!  We would like to add more opportunities for families to get involved in school activities.  We would appreciate you sharing your ideas of activities you are interested in, as well as, convenient days and times for you so that you will be able to participate as much as you would like. 
Here are some examples of possible activities.  You might think of even more. 
~ opportunities for you to share your knowledge, culture, & talent with groups of students
~ reading or telling stories to students
~ family fun nights
~ chances to meet and talk with teachers
~ chances to meet and talk with other parents

Communication between Home and School

     Communication between families of our students and school staff is very important!  Please let us know how well you think we are doing with this.  We would also like you to share your ideas for ways to improve communication and make it easier.
